Notion, Figma, Slack and Shopify app directories

You know which of the four is worth your week and which is a vanity listing.

2h Medium Marketplaces

Notion, Figma, Slack and Shopify all work the same way and return wildly different amounts. The decision is which one your product genuinely belongs in.

01

Match the platform to where your users already work

A Figma plugin listing does nothing if your buyer has never opened Figma. This is the whole decision.

02

Budget for the review

All four have real review processes measured in weeks, with functional requirements beyond the listing itself.

03

Write the listing page as a landing page

These directories rank in their own search and in Google. The description is a marketing page, not a changelog.

04

Consider template marketplaces instead

If you are not shipping code, Notion and Figma template marketplaces are a much lower-effort route into the same audience.

Watch out
  • Shopify has the highest revenue potential and by far the heaviest requirements. Do not start here unless commerce is your market.
  • A listing in a marketplace you cannot support properly generates support load you did not budget for.
