Screenshots, OG image and demo video: the specs every directory asks for

One export set that fits every submission form without redoing it each time.

45m Medium Assets

Nearly every directory asks for the same handful of images at slightly different sizes. Export the set once and submissions stop being an afternoon each.

01

Take screenshots at 2x on a clean window

No personal data, no half-loaded states, no browser bookmarks bar. Crop to the interface, not the desktop.

02

Produce the four sizes that cover everything

1280x800 for the standard gallery, 1600x900 for wide heroes, 1200x630 for OG, and a 512x512 square icon on a solid background.

03

Write the OG image as a caption, not a poster

Product name, one line of promise, one screenshot fragment. It gets rendered at thumbnail size in a feed.

04

Record 45 seconds of the product doing its job

No intro slide, no music, no face. Start inside the interface on the first frame, because most viewers leave by second ten.

Watch out
  • Directories that reject an image rarely tell you why; matching the stated pixel size exactly avoids most of it.
  • Keep the source files. You will re-export when the UI changes, which is sooner than you think.
