Write one submission blurb, reuse it thirty times

Three length variants that cover every form field you will meet.

25m Easy Copy

Every form wants a different length of the same paragraph. Write three, in one place, and submissions become copy-paste.

01

Write the 280-character version first

Two sentences: what it is and who it is for, then the outcome. Everything shorter is a cut of this.

02

Cut to 160 and 60

The 160 loses the second sentence. The 60 is the category noun plus the qualifier.

03

Write one long version of about 120 words

Used by directories with a description box. Three short paragraphs: problem, what the product does, who it suits.

04

Keep them with your links and assets

One note with blurbs, image files, category tags and your submission log. This is the kit you open for every listing.

Watch out
  • Do not vary the wording per site for SEO reasons; consistent description text across listings reads as a real product, not a spam run.
  • Update all three when the product changes, or your listings slowly stop matching your landing page.
