Who ToolListed accepts

You need
An account, by Google or GitHub
An icon at 1:1 and an image at 16:9, each 1MB or less
A link back to them maintained on your site, for the free plan
You'll be rejected if
Nobody by category, but a free submission can be turned down simply because the free slots are full, which they say on the card

What you actually get
A listing in an AI tools and websites directory, filed under two categories and a tag, built from the same three-step form Dirs.cc uses. The free lane's price is the badge rather than a wait measured in months, which is the difference between the two sites.

How to submit to ToolListed

  1. Details
Link, name, categories, tags, a short description and a Markdown introduction, plus an icon and an image. An AI Autofill button will fill it from your link.
  2. Payment
Three cards. Free is the first and its button reads Submit to review; the two paid ones publish immediately. The page becomes /payment/<id> and the record shows its own status.
  3. Publish
The third step is the publish itself, which on the free plan is theirs to do rather than yours.

Gotchas

The free lane is real and stated up front, but it is badge-gated: the record sits at Submitting until their checker finds the badge, and only then joins the queue.
Their AI autofill is offered as the headline feature and will draft the name, description, introduction, categories, tags and screenshot from your URL, so anything it writes is worth reading back before you submit.
The badge snippet carries their own utm parameters on the link, so the href you paste is longer than the bare domain and should not be trimmed.
Step one ends on a /payment/<id> URL even when you are taking the free lane, which reads like a paywall and is not one.

Let your agent submit to ToolListed

Connect SubmitMap to your AI over MCP and this page stops being something you read and copy. Your agent asks for the ToolListed playbook and gets the brief for this exact form, with the values already taken from your submission pack instead of placeholders you fill in by hand.

What it does for this platform
Checks your product against the 4 ToolListed rules above, so you find out you would be rejected before you open a tab.
Hands your agent all 6 fields this form asks for, none of them optional, already filled from your pack.
Warns you that ToolListed looks for its badge on your site, so it has to be live before you submit rather than after.
Tells you what paying buys here, so you pick it on purpose: pro skips the queue and Sponsor buys placement, both priced on the second step. Free is offered in the page's own words before either of them, and what it asks for is their badge verified on your site.
Types it into ToolListed in your own browser, and stops for you when the form wants a sign-in.
Records what it sent, so the dashboard can answer "did I ever submit to ToolListed?".
