What you actually get
A profile on the software-buyer comparison site, from a DR 91 domain. What actually moves anything there is reviews, so the listing is only the container. Buyers arrive with intent, which makes it valuable for B2B software.
How to submit to G2
- Get validated first/products/new redirects to /authorize, which states you must be validated through LinkedIn or a business email before you can access the page at all. Google sign-in is offered alongside LinkedIn.
- Claim the page if G2 already has oneSearch G2 for the product before creating anything: G2 adds products its buyers and its own crawl turn up, so there is often an unclaimed profile already. On one, the top right of the page carries Claim this profile. The claim form wants a work email on the product's own domain and G2 answers in one to three business days. Requesting a page and claiming one are the same form and the same wait.
- Claim or create the profileVendors register and claim their product profile once validated.
- Fill the profile outCategories, features, pricing and screenshots. G2 matches products to categories, and the category is what buyers browse.
- Collect reviewsThis is the actual work. A profile with no reviews ranks nowhere and persuades nobody.

Gotchas
You cannot even see the vendor form until you are validated through LinkedIn or a business email address. It is an identity gate, not just a sign-up, and no agent can clear it.
The listing is not the point: G2 is a review site, and a profile with no reviews does nothing for you. Getting listed is the easy part and it changes nothing on its own.
Soliciting reviews has rules, and incentives have to be disclosed. Read their policy before asking customers.
It is aimed at business software buyers, so a consumer product or a side project is the wrong shape for the audience.
A Gmail address is refused on the claim form: G2 checks that the email domain matches the product's website, so a maker who runs the product from a personal mailbox has to set up an address on the product domain first.
